If you have been invited to take part in a Vicki Raynor Qualitative Research project you will have given your consent for us to receive your contact details (name, address, home and/or mobile phone number & possibly your email address) and some details about you as a consumer (for example, your age, gender, shopping habits) before being involved in the market research study.

The information passed on to us is processed lawfully and used solely for the market research project that you have been invited to participate in. You can withdraw your consent at any time during the research process.

Following your market research interview, all information will be anonymously reported to the client paying for the research (i.e. they won’t know it’s your views we are reporting on) with the following exceptions and always with your prior consent:

  • We may use audio, or video clips, or photos from your interview or interview homework. These will be shared with the client and only used for market research purposes. Whilst we won’t identify you by naming you, or giving away other identifying information, your image may be used to help to bring to life findings. Clients will not be permitted to use the audio/visual materials beyond the scope of market research project.
  • You may be asked to share photos, audio clips or videos with other participants and clients as part of the market research process too. We’ll let you know this is going to happen before you are asked to share anything, and it’s up to you what you want to share. Again, the other participants won’t be given any identifying personal details about you – other than the images or thoughts you chose to share.

We will keep on file any personal data (info re you as a consumer) for no longer than one year but your contact details (name, address, phone number) will stay securely on file for up to 7 years for accountancy purposes only. After that time all your details will be destroyed.

Research findings, quotes, audios and video will be kept on file for up to 2 years.

We will store your personal details (that don’t form part of the research materials i.e. phone number, address etc) in a manner that ensures appropriate security, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage using appropriate technical or organisation measure to protect your personal information.
